About Lysa Comfort

President & Founder of Charisma Nail Innovations 

Lysa Comfort is a globally recognized nail instructor. Her passion for nails started in 1984 in her bedroom as a child with a love for making nails that never ended. In school she was always known for her long red nails. She went straight into manicuring school out of high school and  was a licensed nail professional by 1987.  She enjoyed the success of being a salon tech until she found the need for a tool that wasn’t yet available in the nail industry in 1995 during the Pink & White Acrylic nail revolution. With the help of her friend Bruce Atwood she invented the French Fill Diamond bit. Because she was one of the first manicurist to invent a tool for the nail market, she received an overwhelming response and request for education on how to use it. The first of its kind bit was made to create perfect smile line refills that everyone needed to know how to do, so  as a result of this contribution she found herself propelled  into teaching. This lead to the beginning of Comfort Concepts. A small business that she sold her video “Drilling without damage”. This caught the attention of the biggest brands in the industry during the late 1990’s. EZ Flow Nail Systems allowed her the opportunity to teach globally. Teaching her electric filing methods are Europe and Asia.  Working with EZ Flow is what gave Lysa the training and skills needed to compete after her experience as a competitor when she first began. Only this time she was being train by world champions like Tom Holcomb and Danny Haile. Soaking up all the knowledge gave Lysa the confidence to start her own brand.

So after a decade of teaching, in 2006  she stepped out on her own to launch Charisma Nail Innovations

She is Co-founder and President of Charisma Nail Innovations Inc. The President and Head Judge of The Nailympion  International (formerly known as Nailympics)

Founder / CEO of The International Nail Judges Association (INJA)  The creator/producer of Americas first competition related reality television show named Nail’d it.

Lysa’s contributions and commitment to the betterment of the nail industry are vast and unwavering. She is often referred to as the Nail Competition positioning Guru as she has single handedly expanded The Nailympion competitions into Western and Eastern Europe and into Asia making it the largest globally recognized nail competition event in the world.

Collaborating with all of the “right people” in the nail industry has made it possible for Lysa to assemble a team of driven, well educated and creative individuals that help make all of her projects wildly successful.

Her education events are often attended by the nail artists looking to rise to the next level of their career. She has personally enjoyed the unique pleasure of mentoring countless nail champions and has trained many of her students to championship levels.
